Liz Newell has been a fixture in Austin’s luxury real estate market for 29 years. Originally from Midland, Texas, Liz has lived in Austin since 1991, and she quickly fell in love with the city’s eclectic vibe and unique, hidden-gem neighborhoods. With 29 years of working with buyers and sellers behind her, Liz brings an extensive knowledge of the local market and experience conquering almost every real estate challenge.
Liz’s superpower is her ability to understand, and service, the full scope of her buyers’ and sellers’ real estate transactions. For Liz, real estate is more than a transaction of buying and selling. People are at the heart of her service philosophy.
A testament to her comprehensive approach is a long list of happy lifelong clients, as evidenced by her thriving referral business. Her stellar service and “use-me-as-a-resource” philosophy have resulted in Liz working with multiple generations of the same family. Having helped their parents with their real estate challenges, Liz loves working with the next generation now searching for homes to start their adult lives. Liz has strong relationships within the Austin real estate community that lead to smoother transactions with partnering agents.
Buyers appreciate that her rapport with other agents enables them to view a house before it’s listed on MLS and that other brokers are eager to collaborate with her. Liz also embraces change, from the evolving fabric of Austin’s cityscape to technological advances in the real estate industry.
Liz finds incredible value in embracing and wielding the technology tools that her partnership with Compass provides. Her clients get the full benefits of a rare combination of art and science.
Outside of real estate, Liz relishes her role as an active part of the Austin community. She has been an active volunteer for causes such as Hospice Austin’s Christopher House and Meals on Wheels. On days off, you can find her and her beloved Labradoodle, Emmy, enjoying nature on the hike and bike trail at Lady Bird Lake or sweating it out at Pure Barre. While she raised her children in Westlake, she now calls central Austin home. Her favorite thing to do, outside of cheering on Longhorns football, is to savor Austin’s unique and laid-back environment over coffee or a good meal with friends.
